Lefkada Island

Lefkada is one of the Ionian Islands, in western Greece

Lefkada is the only Greek island that can be reached by car, through a special bridge which leads to the north side of the island. Along the western coastline of the island you will visit the most exquisit beaches of tremendous beauty ! The inland is mountainous, with a canyon as well, full of forests, traditional villages and breathtaking viewpoints. At the villages you can meet the local architectural styles, visit the very special Folklore Museum of Karya village, and explore the local traditional foods and goods.

In the city of Lefkada

You can stroll on the super-narrow streets, the pedestrian zone, the picturesque squares, enjoy the sunset at the canal, visit the old churches, and visit the very important Archeological Museum of Lefkada, the Folklore Museum as well as the Phonographer Museum.

How to arrive

Lefkada can also be reached by plane, through the international airport of Aktiο, which is 15 km away from the island. Lefkas is 385 km away from Athens (going through Rio-Antirio) and 180 km away from Patras.

From Lefkas one can also visit two other Ionian islands, Cefallonia and Ithaca.
